Hello! I’m Marija, the artist and creator behind Marrillu.
From an early age, I’ve been captivated by drawing, painting and storytelling. What began as childhood sketches and illustrated tales has grown into a professional career in illustration - one where I blend artistic expression with narrative imagination.
I am endlessly inspired by the boundless imagination of childhood, the moments where wonder and emotion coexist in simple yet profound ways. My work seeks to capture that spirit, using visual storytelling to connect with the innate curiosity, joy and tenderness within us all.
Whether it’s a published book, a personal project or a special commission, my intention is always the same: to create art that inspires, stirs emotion and stays in the heart long after the story ends.
