A Backpack Full of Memories is a graphic novel I created to document the journeys of displaced families — stories gathered through interviews and research, transformed into sequential art that humanizes statistics.

The presentation at the British Parliament in London in 2024 was an extraordinary moment. To see politicians and advocates engaging with the work, discussing the stories of the families represented, was a reminder of what illustration can do beyond gallery walls.
